Mark Burnett and Roma Downey make the Premiere Choice!

TV Producer Mark Burnett and actress/producer Roma Downey took to the NRB 2015 Convention in style in a Premiere luxury day coach to promote their NBC TV series A.D. The Bible Continues. The convention was held in Nashville, Tennessee at Opryland Hotel in February, 2015. The Premiere coach was used as a mobile showroom, as well as for interviews, meetings, and exhibit hall promotion. The entire coach exterior was transformed into an A.D. billboard with a Premiere Transportation bus wrap.
Burnett, CEO of the United Artists Media Group, is considered the most successful television producer in the U.S. with five of the biggest prime time reality shows under his belt (The Voice, Shark Tank, Survivor, etc). He is a six-time Emmy Award winner, and has produced more than 2,900 hours of television programming which air in more than 70 countries worldwide.
His co-producer and wife Roma Downey is an Emmy and Globe-nominated actress who is best known as the angel Monica of the CBS TV series Touched by an Angel. She is the President of LightWorkers Media and together with her husband has produced several religious-themed television series and films. A.D. The Bible Continues premiered on NBC on Easter Sunday, April 5.

Romney

Perfect Timing

This fascinating photo recently appeared, and we felt it worthy of offering the “back-story”; albeit a bit delayed!

In 2012, Premiere Transportation provided eight coaches to the Mitt Romney for President campaign for six months leading up to the election. The coaches criss-crossed the country as Mitt Romney, a business executive and former Governor of Massachusetts, went about his bid to become President.

On one of the trips in Florida, a media photographer riding in a media van behind one of the buses caught the following picture: the perfect intersection of two Mitt Romney for President coaches, one on “ground” level and the other in perpendicular direction on a bridge. The photo shows that all of the security detail vehicles are at ground level along with the coach and the media vehicle, presumably meaning that the candidate was in the coach on the ground!

This intersection – nor the photograph were planned or coordinated; it took the alertness, quick hands, and great eye for the unique to catch this moment at the exact right second. Bravo to a very talented and quick photographer!

StartupBus not the end of the road for On The List - March 7, 2014

Here is the article from March 7, 2014, as it appeared in the Tennessean...

StartupBus not the end of the road for On The List

by Jamie McGee

A Nashville team of developers, designers and entrepreneurs made it to the final round of the national StartupBus competition after creating a company that combines concert ticket sales with branding opportunities for corporations.

Their product, called On the List, is the culmination of a three-day road trip from Nashville to San Antonio, Texas, during which 19 participants formed teams and created products to present to a panel of judges ahead of the South by Southwest tech and music festival in Austin, Texas. In the final round, they went up against five other teams formed on StartupBuses traveling from Guadalajara, Mexico; Kansas City, Mo.; Seattle; New York; San Francisco; and Tampa, Fla.

The site, created by six Nashville “buspreneurs,” allows fans to search for concerts in their area and buy tickets that are accompanied by additional perks, such as free drink tickets, a poster signed by an artist or an artist meet-and-greet. A brand will pay for the perks, while gaining exposure through the sponsor partnership, said Grayson Carroll, who pitched the product in the final round Thursday. The idea came from Jack McCann, a concert promoter at live event production and management company MarchOne Music in Nashville.

“We are bringing the VIP experience to everyday concertgoing fans by having brands like Pepsi and Heineken fit the bill for their VIP experiences,” Carroll said. “A brand is associating their names with a really cool experience the fan is getting that they would have otherwise not had access to.”

The Nashville StartupBus generated four products during the trip that was accompanied by icy roads, freezing rain and little sleep for those on board. Other products include a private social network, a branded scavenger hunt site and a virtual wine cellar application for tracking favorite wines, according to Steve Repetti, an investor leading the Nashville StartupBus.

“It has been one of the most amazing adventures,” Carroll said. “We have really connected with a lot of the Nashville buspreneurs, but this network goes so far beyond the bus we were on. … We’ve gotten plugged in with coders, hustlers and really interesting, driven and intelligent people from all over the world with this thing.”

The StartupBus project began in 2010. The idea is to connect software programmers and entrepreneurs who could go on to create more developed products after the bus experience.

Carroll said he and his teammates logged about 10 hours of sleep or less during the roughly 72-hour road trip, as they tried to build out their product while preparing their pitches. The team plans to develop On the List further once they return to Nashville.

Carroll, also CEO of Nashville startup Poliana, said the main prize in the competition was attention, “which is the best thing for an early-stage company.”
